Because farts are funny (and this will have to do until I go through some more old magazines and get a bunch of Photo Funnies scanned)
Farting is the great equalizer of this world because everyone does it even if no one will admit to it. It doesn’t matter if it’s the homeless guy in the street or if it’s the President of the United States, everyone breaks wind at some point. Even our friends in the animal kingdom share this ability but, I have to say you don’t want to get around the business end of some creatures when the urge hits them because they have no trepidation about letting loose as this short shows:
